For the first time, Bruichladdich is launching a range of high vintage whiskies permanently: The Bruichladdich Eighteen and The Bruichladdich Thirty. The new Luxury Redefined range of whiskies is conceived, distilled, aged and bottled on the island of Islay, reflecting the distillery’s pioneering spirit of the past, its commitment to the future and its ongoing quest to create exceptional whiskies.

These premium whiskies defy the conventions of modern luxury and feature the industry’s first-ever sustainable outer packaging. Designed by the brand in conjunction with global creative partner Thirst and created by UK luxury packaging specialist James Cropper, the eco-friendly outer packaging utilises fully recycled paper pulp in the shape of a proprietary glass bottle, which wraps seamlessly around the bottle. Completely plastic-free and produced using 100% environmentally friendly energy, this lightweight outer packaging demonstrates how premium single-malt Scotch whisky can be both sustainable and aesthetically appealing.
The Bruichladdich Eighteen’s plastic-free outer packaging is in line with the Bruichladdich Distillery’s sustainability strategy to reduce packaging and waste. The moulded packaging is designed to be made from paper and is 100% recyclable.

As the first permanently available 18-year-old single malt whisky in the Bruichladdich Collection, The Bruichladdich Eighteen is a true ageing expression. When the distillery was restored in 2001, the Bruichladdich team was committed to reconnecting with the land and the spirit, celebrating the quality of the raw materials and introducing the concept of terroir into the whisky industry, as well as promoting the local community. To create a great tasting experience and support the development of Islay’s agriculture, Bruichladdich began growing barley with a local farmer in 2004. This pioneering trial has now been extended to 20 major agricultural partners who produce over 50% of the barley used in the distillery.
