Established in 2013 by professional musician BryanYeung and registered social worker Kitty Yip, Addoilmusic has transformed from an innovative social enterprise into an expanding music label and publishing hub situated in Hong Kong. Addoilmusic recently presented a spectacular event showcasing the EM Ensemble Band and Young Talents Music Show, featuring 11 minority grassroots children. Following over two months of intensive training, these young performers took to the stage for their debut public performance. Collaborating with the gifted singer-songwriter Yoona Chang, pianist Johnny Pun, harmonica player Harry Choi, and music instructor Miss Jolie, the event unfolded at the prestigious PARK SEASONS exhibition hall.
The show not only mesmerized the audience with its musical prowess but also served to underscore the profound artistic and social significance of music in our communities. This initiative, made possible through funding from the Social Innovation Fund and Oxfam Hong Kong, was further supported by the generous sponsorship of Club Wheelock, providing a platform for these talented individuals to shine brightly.
The evening was a celebration of diversity, talent, and the transformative power of music. Through this collaborative effort, Addoilmusic continues to fulfill its mission of nurturing musical talent and fostering connections through the universal language of music, leaving a lasting impact on both the performers and the audience alike.

University of Hong Kong social work graduate, singer Yoona Cheung, made a significant impact in the music realm by clinching the runner-up position at the “4th Annual Addoilmusic Dare to Write and Sing Songwriting Contest” in 2021. Embraced as a songwriter by Addoilmusic, she has engaged in fruitful collaborations with Gin Lee. Yoona’s velvety vocals and poignant compositions seek to uplift and console, positioning her as a burgeoning figure in contemporary music. Her latest release, “Hallucinate,” delves into the struggles of individuals in the music industry contending with artificial intelligence, showcasing her depth and creativity as an artist with a unique perspective.
