Guidepost Montessori Winter Bazaar 2025: Honoring 5 Years of Community and the Joy of Giving

by Ella

Guidepost Montessori Hong Kong proudly hosted its inaugural Winter Bazaar at the Academy of Innovation Primary School (AIP), marking a festive celebration of the winter and New Year season. The event welcomed over 550 families from across Hong Kong, creating a vibrant atmosphere filled with engaging activities, captivating performances, and a bustling marketplace. This year’s Winter Bazaar not only celebrated the joy of the season but also kicked off the celebrations for Guidepost Montessori’s 5th anniversary while generating charitable contributions to support Mother’s Choice, a local charity dedicated to vulnerable children and pregnant teenagers. As a Media Partner, Ritzy team looks forward to more milestones, the Guidepost Montessori Winter Bazaar exemplifies the spirit of giving and community that continues to thrive in Hong Kong.

The Winter Bazaar was designed to foster community engagement, showcasing the benefits of being part of the Guidepost and AIP family. Families enjoyed a variety of activities tailored for children, including face painting, balloon arts, free painting sessions, writing spring festival couplets, and sports activities facilitated by Tekkerz. Robotics workshops led by Campus X and craft sessions by LUSH and Anewtoys provided additional interactive experiences. A family photo service offered by Venture Studios added a delightful touch, capturing memories of this special day.

The atmosphere buzzed with energy as families enjoyed dance performances by Dance for Joy, while children participated in traditional activities like writing spring festival couplets. The event’s marketplace featured a diverse range of local businesses catering to families, including Trappist Dairy, Catalo, Maison Kayser, and many others. Parents had the opportunity to explore AIP’s Montessori primary school classrooms, showcasing student work and innovative learning environments. Among the highlights, LUSH’s booth featured a handmade bath bomb workshop that families could enjoy together. Anewtoys promoted sustainability through crafts workshops that encouraged toy recycling and creativity. Trappist Dairy excited attendees with mini-games and delicious yogurt, while Maison Kayser treated visitors to freshly baked artisanal French delights.

In collaboration with Mother’s Choice, Guidepost Montessori launched the Stride for Hope campaign, a community-driven fitness and charity initiative inviting participants to collectively cover 9,000 kilometers through running, cycling, swimming, or walking. This two-month campaign culminates in a gathering on February 15, 2025. Community members who sponsor these efforts will contribute to supporting the Mother’s Choice Child Care Home, with Cosmic Education Group (CEG), Guidepost Montessori’s parent company, matching every donation raised up to HKD 50,000.

Reflecting on the past five years, Mr. Steve Xu, CEO and founder of CEG, expressed gratitude for the community’s impact on the lives of children and families. “I am deeply grateful for the incredible impact we’ve made together in the lives of our children, families, and community. I’m excited that this year we’re extending that impact by supporting the wonderful work of Mother’s Choice,” he stated.

Sky Siu, CEO of Mother’s Choice, echoed this sentiment, thanking the Guidepost community for its commitment and support in caring for babies and young girls in crisis. “By joining our Stride for Hope online sports challenge, we are excited for your staff and families to join hands with us in achieving our vision of every child being in a loving family,” she said.

The Winter Bazaar not only celebrated past achievements but also highlighted a commitment to future growth and community engagement. It honored the contributions of children, parents, employees, and the broader community, laying a strong foundation for continued impact in the years to come.
