POP MART Macao Citywalk
POP MART MACAO CITYWALK is a major cultural tourism event jointly launched by the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) and the trendy toy company POP MART, running from June 6 to September 21, 2025. This 108-day event brings POP MART’s popular characters—Baby Molly, CRYBABY, DIMOO, and LABUBU—to four iconic locations across Macao, blending the city’s culinary delights with its rich cultural heritage to create a unique urban exploration experience.
The event features large-scale installations, including a striking 7-meter-high LABUBU sculpture unveiled at the Vila da Taipa Historical Center Archway. Each character is themed around different aspects of Macao’s food culture and neighborhoods: Baby Molly represents signature specialties like almond cookies and egg rolls; CRYBABY explores local street snacks; DIMOO embodies the classic Cha Chaan Teng café culture; and LABUBU highlights Macanese-Portuguese delicacies.
Visitors can enjoy specially designed photo spots, participate in a citywide stamp-collection quest, and join shopping lucky draws. A “pop station” at Senado Square serves as the event hub, featuring a pop-up store and a Macao-themed Mega Space Molly Egg Tart installation. Participants who share their experiences on social media with designated hashtags can collect limited-edition postcards and win exclusive prizes, encouraging engagement and exploration of Macao’s diverse communities.
This innovative collaboration aims to attract global fans of POP MART’s IP, especially younger travelers, boosting Macao’s international profile as a vibrant tourism and leisure destination. By integrating trendy pop culture with local gastronomy and heritage, POP MART MACAO CITYWALK fosters community tourism and economic revival during the summer season, inviting visitors to discover Macao through a playful and immersive citywalk.
