Redefining Style, Sustainability, and Rhythm with Asha Cuthbert
In an industry driven by fleeting trends and pristine curation, Asha Cuthbert (徐㴓喬) stands out for keeping it fiercely real. Whether navigating glamorous work ensembles or advocating for eco-conscious living, her approach to style and life is rooted in authenticity.
Mindful Style over Fast Trends

For Asha, staying true to herself means tuning out fashion’s relentless cycle. “I don’t really follow a lot of main trends,” she explains. Instead, she mixes pieces from five or ten seasons ago, prioritizing personal comfort over passing fads. When asked about the biggest misconception surrounding sustainable fashion, Asha addresses a common pitfall: buying eco-friendly materials is still shopping. “It does not necessarily mean you’re sustainable… It’s trying to lower the chances of us shopping and using what we already have,” she notes.
Wardrobe Staples for Everyday Ease

Surrounded by constant glamour for work, Asha turns to dependable classics off-camera. Her go-to uniform consists of a well-worn pair of jeans—some kept for up to a decade—and simple T-shirts rotated regularly. Rather than changing outfits, she refreshes her look using different hats and accessories.
Navigating Hong Kong’s Fast Pace

Living sustainably in a high-density city like Hong Kong presents unique everyday hurdles. Surprisingly, Asha finds basic recycling to be one of the most challenging habits due to logistics. Many residential buildings lack easily accessible recycling bins, requiring residents to align with specific pickup schedules. “It’s so hard to put it into your schedule,” she shares, describing stockpiles of 30 to 40 cans awaiting collection. Yet, her commitment remains grounded: “I try and stay true and I don’t give up, and I just wait for the next Monday to bring it downstairs.”
The Magic of Pre-Loved Fashion

Asha’s passion for vintage and second-hand shopping surpasses her interest in modern retail. She frequents local vintage spots and pre-loved platforms like HULA, where she sources outfits for special occasions, such as weddings. To Asha, the value of pre-loved clothing extends beyond aesthetics—it connects people through shared care. Knowing someone cherished an item enough to pass it on allows her to continue that journey. “I love that feeling that we’re just passing the love forward and not letting it go to waste,” she says.
Looking Forward

As for future habits, Asha dreams of running a personal compost heap in a garden to feed household plants from food waste. Until that space is available, she remains dedicated to catching the weekly recycling schedule. Through her journey, Asha shows that living sustainably isn’t about perfection, but about consistent, intentional choices.
