KiKi Noodle Bar (KiKi Tea) is inviting diners to embark on a foodie trip to Taiwan’s culinary capital with the launch of an autumn set of local classic favourites of Tainan at the trendsetting brand’s flagship branches at ifc mall in Central and K11 MUSEA in Tsim Sha Tsui East.

The new ‘Taste of Tainan’ features a two-course gourmet menu of appetiser and choice of two crowd-pleasing main course noodle favourites along with a refreshing new tea concoction at just HK$158. The promotion themed in tribute to the island’s oldest city and heart of traditional culture is available for dine-in or takeaway from today to 30 November 2021. Celebrating the city famed for deep-rooted food culture and seafood with crowd-pleasing Taiwanese dishes, ‘Taste of Tainan’ starts with appetiser of Fish Maw & Octopus in Sesame Fish Sauce with Spicy Sauce. The exquisite dish features hand-selected fish maw, rich in gelatine yet low in fat for nourishing youthful complexion, and tender octopus sourced fresh daily which is also low in cholesterol – with a flavoursome tangy kick of sesame fish sauce and homemade spicy sauce.

Among two main course choices, Black Garlic Pork Tender Bone Ribs & Mixed Noodles is a Tainan classic reimagined with a spicy KiKi twist. Ribs are slow-cooked ‘sous vide’ for melt-in-your-mouth tenderness, enriched by the city’s famous black garlic for great health benefits, and Sichuan peppercorn with green pepper for a lingering aftertaste.

Alternatively, Black Sesame Oil Chicken Mixed Noodles is another exceptional Tainan ‘must try’ favourite. High-quality local Long Jiang chicken is also slow-cooked in black sesame oil for melting tenderness, boldly flavoured with rare soy sauce from an artisan Tainan producer revered for over a century.

Both main courses capture the essence of Tainan cuisine showcasing KiKi’s iconic signature sun-dried noodles, naturally handmade from just flour and water without MSG or additives.

Completing the set, Green Apple Jasmine Green Tea is a refreshing new formula to whet appetites, curated by KiKi’s team of professional tea specialists from the brand’s signature Taiwan ’high mountain’ tea, renowned as the “Champagne of oolong tea” for its jasmine fragrance and deep green tea aroma. The new specialty is blended with fresh green apple and lemon slices for a sour balance, complemented with Aiyu (fig seed) jelly, bringing multiple health benefits including skin nourishment and improved blood circulation.
