The Disney+ Original Movie “Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers,” a reboot comeback 30 years in the making, catches up
with the former Disney Afternoon television stars in modern-day Los Angeles. A hybrid live-action/CG animated
action-comedy, “Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers” premieres May 20, 2022, exclusively on Disney+.
The movie stars John Mulaney as Chip, Andy Samberg as Dale and KiKi Layne as Detective Ellie Steckler, and
features the voices of Will Arnett, Eric Bana, Flula Borg, Dennis Haysbert, Keegan-Michael Key, Tress MacNeille,
Tim Robinson, Seth Rogen, J.K. Simmons, Chris Parnell, Corey Burton, and Jim Cummings.

Chip and Dale are living amongst cartoons and humans in modern-day Los Angeles, and their lives are quite
different now. It has been decades since their successful television series, “Chip ‘n’ Dale: Rescue Rangers,” was
cancelled, and Chip has succumbed to a life of suburban domesƟ city as an insurance salesman, with a full-size
dog as his sole companion. When a former castmate, Monterey Jack calls the two chipmunks in a panic,
they rush out to meet Monty in his dingy apartment, where they find him terrified and reeking of the old “Rescue
Rangers” cologne. He tells his friends of the ‘toons indebted to the infamous Valley Gang (run by the evil Sweet
Pete) who continue to mysteriously disappear, and vanishes himself the next day.

As the number of missing ‘toons begin to rise, the local authorities find themselves perplexed and, worse,
without any clues. Detective Ellie Steckler, a die-hard fan, enlists the support of Chip and Dale, who must repair
their broken friendship and take on their Rescue Rangers detective personas to help solve the case and save their
friend’s life.
