Art sense and Creativity have long been a mystery to many people, yet, there is no one person that can be naturally more artistic and creative than others. With practice and inspiration, anyone can grow and develop their inner abilities. There are a couple of workshops under Creative Workshop Series @PMQ that available for young kids to start creating and practice at giving themselves the time and openness for gaining new thoughts, and then create a very own art piece.
Parent-child Design and Print Workshop allows participants to choose their painting, color it and create their own work. The work will be printed on a tote bag and it becomes a unique tote bag. Other than printing with a machine, you could also try Cyanotype with your kids. In Cyanotype Printed Tote Bag Workshop, you will learn the technique of Cyanotype print and textile art to create your own pattern. Upcycling is also a very hot topic. If you join the Upcycling Denim – Print Your Scarf, you can experience crafting with your kid. Use Upcycling denim / cotton scraps into scarf with fringe and print and add on your own prints and slogans on it. Let your creativity flow and share the happy time with your loved ones!
If you want your kids to inspire freely, you could sign up for Mural Story Session. The art begins without frames and let your kids immerse into the wonders of children’s stories and play with idea inspired. Nagomi Pastel Art Workshop is an art for everyone and anyone! The therapeutic nature of this art is able to create a sense of harmony and enhance the self-esteem of the painter. When the painters go through the process to choose and blend the colors and complete the beautiful art piece all by themselves it helps to calm and relax one’s mind.

Participants can choose their favorite paintings from several paintings created by Ayes’ designer. Then they can color it and create their own work. We will print the children’s work on a tote bag. Children can not only show their creativity, and also make their own bags.
Cyanotype Printed T-Shirt or Tote Bag Workshop by A Studio (HKD$ 480 per person)
Cyanotype printing tote bag The technique of Cyanotype Print was invented in 1842 by the astronomer John Herschel. He used chemicals to photocopy the negative films in to a blue and white picture. A studio is incorporating this technique and textile art to create different type of products, while gratefully introducing it to everyone in a form of workshops.
Upcycling Denim – Print Your Scarf by phenotypsetter (HK$380 per person)
Experience craft making! Upcycling denim / cotton scraps into scarf with fringe and print! Fabric will be supplied together with paints of basic colours, patterns, tools, etc. for you to design and print your own favourite prints and slogans on the scarf. Our instructor will suggest the design direction and teach the basic skills too. Let your creativity flow! *Remarks: For all ages. Not required to have any clothes making skills and experience. For kids, it’s required to be aged 6 or above. An accompanying adult is recommended for kids aged 6-7.
Mural Story Session by Story Pie (HK$300 per person)
Our art begins without frames. We use children’s storybooks to inspire art. Let us immerse into the wonders of stories and play with ideas inspired. Come to our canvas wall!
