Happy New Year! It is time to get ready and get the new year off on the right start. Ritzy’s monthly update of school news brings you up-to-date on the latest you need to know about Hong Kong’s education community. Hong Kong Academy – Twiga Pottery clay workshop

During the Twiga Pottery clay workshop, Hong Kong Academy students learned to apply a range of key hand-building techniques to design and create their own village that has its own unique habitat and cultural characteristics. The specialist coaches from Hong Kong Academy who made the Winter Programme so much fun!

German Swiss International School Hong Kong – Academic Societies

Aiming to provide a platform for the students to explore and discover their interests as well as offering leadership opportunities, Academic Societies at German Swiss International School are run by Secondary students. It covers a wide range of subjects such as BioMed, Engineering, Law, STEM, Sustainable Development, and more. Each Society hosts regular activities, visiting speakers, debates, discussions and experiments throughout the year as well as an annual Action Week.

 

Yew Chung International School – International School’s Sports Federation of Hong Kong Swimming Championships

Yew Chung International School’s swimming team competed in the International School’s Sports Federation of Hong Kong Swimming Championships earlier in a full-day event, with over 30 schools competing against each other. Their athletes have been training with Ms Ferris every Tuesday morning to prepare for competitions throughout the first part of this year, culminating with the Championships. The 8 athletes qualified for the championships and competed in freestyle, butterfly and breaststroke events.  They are pleased to share their students finished a very respectable 13th place overall out of 22 international schools. Congratulations to all athletes that participated in the swimming team this year.
