Canadian International School Hong Kong

Canadian International School Hong Kong’s Lower School students showed off their creativity and unique sense of style during the recent Dress Down Day. Students took the opportunity and rocked it on the campus with their mix-and-match fashion style. Not only did the students showcase their individuality, but they also made a positive impact and raised funds for the house charities –  plasticfreeseas, feedinghk, world_wildlife and roomtoread.

Guidepost Hong Kong had the incredible opportunity to honor their amazing  teachers and express our deepest appreciation for their unwavering dedication and invaluable contributions to the school community during World’s teachers’ Day. They guide children through works and challenges, ignite their curiosity, and help unlock their potential. Their passion for education leaves an indelible mark on the children’s hearts and minds. On this special occasion, Guidepost Hong Kong wanted to show their gratitude by presenting them with heartfelt gifts and thank-you messages from the  children.

 

Nord Anglia International School Hong Kong

Year 1 opened the doors to warmly welcome Nord Anglia parent community in October. It was an opportunity for families to experience the learning environment and for children to share their interests, introduce their friends and proudly showcase their new skills. During the workshop, parents were introduced to the school-wide phonics scheme, Read Write Inc, and gained strategies to support their children’s learning further at home. The school was delighted by the impressive turnout of parents who were eager to participate in their child’s learning journey.

What an incredible day we had today celebrating Chinese National Day! The energy was high, and everyone was filled with joy and pride as they showcased their talents. Each year band gave impressive performances from Chinese drum, dragon dance, modern dance, musical performances and more. This National Day Celebration holds immense significance for Victoria Shanghai Academy, allowing them to reflect on our rich culture, heritage, and the remarkable achievements of the country.

The Harbour School

Autumn is approaching, in an exploration of BBQ heritage, The Harbour School High School Culinary Anthropology class traced its roots from Taíno pits to Carolina Gold. The rooftop feast they prepared reflected centuries of flavors, showcasing a fusion of global traditions.

 

Hong Kong Academy

Grade 4 students are learning about human rights and responsibilities as part of their ‘Who We Are’ unit of inquiry. They raised nearly HK$4,000 and collected hygiene essentials in support of local organisation, May’s Angels. May’s Angels supports vulnerable and marginalised individuals and communities in Hong Kong and works to restore them equal access, opportunities, dignity and hope. The May’s Angels volunteers, prepare lunches and gift boxes and distribute them on a weekly basis to homeless people around Hong Kong in support of SDG 10 Reduced Inequalities.

 

ESF Discovery College

ESF Discovery College celebrated their 26 scholarship students at their annual Scholarship Morning Tea. Students, mentors and parents took a moment to come together, hear what the scholarship students have been up to over the past year and understand their goals for the future.  They also celebrated their first Community Engagement scholarship recipient and everyone had a great time.
