Young Innovators Shine at Global STEAM Competition
Over 800 students from the Greater Bay Area (GBA) and Hong Kong, including finalists as young as 8, showcased their world-changing innovations at the inaugural World Reimagined: Global STEAM Public Speaking Competition held at Hong Kong Science & Technology Park (HKSTP) on Mother’s Day. Organized by Big Bang Academy and supported by Humansa, Sino Inno Lab, and YOHO, the event saw two champion teams earn a 9-day Cambridge University STEAM study tour!
A distinguished panel of speakers and judges, including Don So (CEO, Humansa), Dr. Logan Chen (Assistant Professor, The University of Hong Kong), Derek Chim (Head of StartUp Ecosystem & Development, HKSTP), Fiona Lau (Founder, Shopline), and more, selected the champions among 12 finalists. Together with the judges, Gen Alphas have tackled pressing Hong Kong & global challenges like limited living space, longevity, and pollution by 2050.
