In our first two years, much of our focus has been on creating spaces for open conversations surrounding mental wellbeing. Our goal is to host authentic and approachable events and discussions that welcome participation from individuals at any stage of their wellbeing journey. A lot of what we’ve done in our first two years has been creating spaces for open conversations around mental wellbeing. Our aim is to host events and conversations that are authentic and approachable for everyone and anyone to join regardless of where they are on their wellbeing journey. One event was our self care fair where we had a full day of events around promoting mental wellbeing and inviting others from the community and help use our platform to share their messages too.
3.With your background in psychology and as an elite athlete, how do you navigate the balance between high performance and maintaining mental health? What advice would you give to young athletes facing similar pressures?

Understanding that achieving a perfect balance isn’t always feasible is crucial. As a student-athlete, some days may lean more towards academics, while others prioritize athletics. Having both aspects is vital as it allows for a seamless transition between roles and encourages being fully present in each moment. Despite the challenges, this journey has equipped me with transferable skills beyond the classroom and the pool.
4.How do you hope to inspire the younger generation through your experiences as an Olympian? What message do you want to convey about resilience, determination, and the importance of mental health?
