by Ella

This week we chat with the Infectious and adventurous Canadian/Hong Kong Influencer , Saron Wilkie. Meeting the love of life in a bookstore in Hong Kong to happily married with two little ones. Apart from being a superwoman in her daily life, she also use her own story to let us know that anything is possible in life.

Nothing Changes If Nothing Changes.

1. Could you tell me a bit about yourself?

My name is Saron. I am a mother of two little ones. I was a teacher at an international school before I got married. I fell in love with essential oils and nature therapy few years ago and started my business. At the same time I was running my blog as a full time mom.

2. You have a busy life between managing a blog, working on your career and also taking care of two kids at the same time. Can you share with us how to do a good time management and also handling the stress and frustration?

My first priority is always my family and that’s also the biggest reason I started my own business. Making a good timetable is always the best way to manage time in between work and family. I am very lucky to have a MVP as a partner; we communicate very well and he is always there for me when I feel stress and frustrated. I talk and I never hide anything from my husband. That really helped me to reduce my stress and of course we use a lot of essential oils for mediation and emotional support.

3. What’s the biggest cultural shock you have had since you moved to Canada?

Honestly I adapted to the culture pretty well here. I think the only thing that bothers me is the weather sometimes and I used to be in a crowd but now it is way more quiet in my surrounding. I definitely love it though!

4. What advice would you give the people who are deciding to move away from Hong Kong or those who just started a new life in another country?

The biggest advice is “Do not compare with Hong Kong and learn how to appreciate your new environment!” I think lots of people still like to compare their life in HK which has no meaning. I often heard “Oh, Canada is so boring!” And it’s really not true! Only boring people think life is boring. Remember “Nothing Changes If Nothing Changes.”

5.  How do you make yourself happy and ritzy in life?

I believe people have their own path. Believe in yourself and your path and don’t regret the decisions you made. Be true to yourself and you will always be happy no matter what you are going through.
