As Halloween just passed, it’s time to pick up the Christmas Vibe . One of my earliest memory about Christmas is the peppermint cane that my mum will bought every Christmas and then we would make different small treats with it. Among all the recipe , peppermint bark is the easiest but also the most satisfying one . Kickstart Christmas with this lovely treat.
Ingredients:
- 350g chopped dark chocolate , you can do semi sweet chocolate if you like it sweeter.
- 350g chopped white chocolate
- 1/2 tsp peppermint extract
- 8 candy cane , crushed
Steps:
- Prepare a square or rectangle container ( Baking tray or baking sheet) with parchment paper.
- Fill the saucepan half way full with water and bring it to a boil. Put a bowl on top and melt the dark chocolate in the bowl.
- Mix the peppermint extract in the chocolate. Pour the chocolate in the container and spread it out into an even layer.
- Put another bowl on the saucepan and melt the white chocolate. Once melted pour it on top on the dark chocolate and spread it out
- Finish the bark by sprinkling candy cane on top of the white chocolate. Put the container in refrigerator to set for at least 20 mins to an hour. You can serve once it’s set .
