First Collaboration with Rosewood PlaceMaker May Chow
Rosewood Hong Kong is pleased to introduce the internationally renowned local chef May Chow as the hotel’s second Rosewood PlaceMaker, as part of Rosewood’s communities to harness local culture through bespoke experiences and promote an authentic feeling of affinity and belonging. Rosewood Hong Kong and May Chow join hands to debut a limited edition of Rosewood PlaceMaker May Chow “A Sense of Place ®” Tea- Flavoured Mini Mooncakes (HK$628/box).
To pay homage to the local-favourite lemon tea which is loved by different generations of Hong Kong locals, May Chow has chosen a highly fragrant Fujian Oolong that has been freshly grounded into a refined, silky powder and sifted into white lotus seed for maximum flavour penetration. The grassy notes of tea are rounded by notes of chocolate, umami, caramel and smoke by the surprise addition of locally-made sweet Kowloon soy sauce. A touch of fresh lemon juice is added for brightness, acidity and freshness. The special edition gift box comes in a set of six mini mooncakes, and is available exclusively at Rosewood Hong Kong.
Rosewood A Sense of Taste “Picnic on the Moon” Mooncake Gift Box (HK$988/box) is a limited edition assorted mooncake picnic basket curated by Chef Li and Rosewood PlaceMaker May Chow, together with the “Reunion” moonlight white tea. The exclusive collaboration celebrates Rosewood Hotel Group’s A Sense of Place ® philosophy – an idea to bring the destination’s local culture, history and geography closer to the guests to co-create a more meaningful stay with Rosewood.
