This September, The Forks & Spoons brings F&B professionals a new way to kickstart a busy week: a sweat-heavy, endorphins-pumping spin class on Monday mornings from 26th September until 17th October. Partnering with Hong Kong’s cult favourite wellness studio XYZ by The Art of XYZ, a portion of proceeds will be donated towards local non-profit organisation, Feeding Hong Kong.
F&B Movement Mondays will be led by certified XYZ spin instructor and foodie Joyce To, who lawyers by day and runs a prominent Hong Kong food blog, @hk_datfoodlife by night. The classes aim to offer F&B professionals a health-focused respite from their infamously busy work schedules, and a chance to come together with industry friends for a fun 50-minute ride on the bike.
“There’s no denying that the F&B industry has taken some of the worst hits from the pandemic, and the journey of recovery has been tough on many. I wanted to bring the community together in a way that consciously prioritizes health and well-being” says Geoffrey Wu, Founder of The Forks & Spoons. “Starting the day with the right mindset can do wonders for a productive workday, especially in a demanding industry such as F&B.”
“XYZ is a safe space to help individuals from all walks of life escape from the intensity of the daily hustle and bustle. Most of us have gone through a place in life showing up as someone other than our most authentic selves. We want XYZ to be the space where people can grow, feel liberated to reset and reconnect with their sense of purpose through exploring movement together. – Belinda Koo, founder of XYZ
CEO of Feeding Hong Kong Billy Yeung thanks The Forks & Spoons and XYZ by The Art of XYZ for this inspiring initiative. He said, “Good health is so important for F&B professionals. Feeding Hong Kong hopes that all participants will enjoy the event, develop a healthy body and mind, and come up with more good ideas to reduce food waste and bring positive impact to the community.”
