Cruise Restaurant & Bar

Take your taste buds on a tantalising trip to Bali with Cruise Restaurant & Bar’s latest limited-edition menu inspired by the gastronomic delights of Indonesia’s most famous island paradise. Rooftop hotspot Cruise prides itself on a flavourful array of modern yet authentic Asian cuisines, executed with skill, sass, and a generous dose of spice. For Cruise’s newest seasonal tasting menu, Chef de Cuisine Adisak Choksamritphon draws inspiration from Bali’s Kite Festival, which traces its origins to traditional harvest celebrations at the start of the windy season. Like the colourful kites of various shapes and sizes that fill Bali’s skies each summer, from fish-shaped “bebean” kites to leaf-shaped “pecukan” kites, Cruise’s “Bali Feed Me!” tasting menu is a vibrant spectacle of diverse flavours that promises a memorable meal. The “Bali Feed Me!” dinner tasting menu is available from 29 July to 31 August 2024, and priced at just HK$580* per person (minimum 2 guests per table).

The Luxe Manor

As summer transits to autumn, The Luxe Manor, the boutique hotel in Tsim Sha Tsui, is joining forces with renowned local fragrance brand BeCandle for the first time. Inspired by the Danish lifestyle concept of “Hygge” (pronounced ‘hoo-gah’), this collaboration aims to introduce the Danish philosophy of bliss through a series of extraordinary offerings. This collaboration includes the “Hygge Haven” Afternoon Tea at Nordic restaurant FINDS, complemented by a gift set including pine needle scented travel candle, room & fabric spray and travel sachet. Guests will be enveloped in a soothing ambiance that embodies “hygge” – a warm and cosy remedy for the mind, body, and soul.

One MICHELIN Starred and MICHELIN Green Starred Roganic Hong Kong is set to close its doors at Sino Plaza in Causeway Bay on 15th September 2024, in preparation for its relocation later in Hong Kong Island this year in November – December 2024 with a complete new look and new innovative menu approach. Aulis Hong Kong, Simon Rogan’s chef’s table concept, will also close and will re-open in 2025. Further information will be released closer to the relaunch.

Minato

Minato, located in Wan Chai North, adjacent to the majestic Victoria Harbour. This innovative new dining destination artfully weaves three distinct strands of Japanese cuisine, Teppanyaki, Omakase, and Kaiseki, into a singular yet all-encompassing gastronomic experience that balances modern sensibilities and authentic craftsmanship. Divided into quiet private spaces and more energetic sections, Minato’s minimalist interiors are guided by the Japanese aesthetic philosophy of “Ma” (間)— the art of purposeful empty space. This thoughtful design creates a refined setting where guests can fully immerse themselves in the sensory pleasures of their meal, free from external distractions.

Whether gathering in an elegant restaurant to relish the joyous moments, or enjoying an intimate and heartwarming feast at home, guests can indulge in delicately crafted delicacies. Freshly baked mooncakes and elegant mooncake gift boxes are also on offer.

Revel in an exceptional Cantonese fine dining experience with loved ones on the reunion festival at Man Ho Chinese Restaurant, where the interior design takes inspiration from a contemporary Chinese garden and exudes refinement. The culinary team led by Executive Chinese Chef Jayson Tang thoughtfully creates an eight-course festive dinner menu to impress epicureans with traditional Cantonese fare infused with modern touches. Savour dishes using premium ingredients, including Baked Sea Whelk Stuffed with Pork in Portuguese Sauce; Double-Boiled Fish Maw Soup with Conpoy and Dendrobium Orchid; Sautéed Half Lobster in Superior Broth; Braised South African Dried Abalone with Black Mushrooms and Goose Web; and Deep-Fried Crispy Baby Pigeon. Follow the traditions and wrap up the meal on a sweet note with the handcrafted desserts symbolising harmony, including Sweetened Red Date Soup with Glutinous Rice Dumplings and Man Ho Mooncakes.

Embracing the spirit of togetherness, Chilli Fagara introduces its Mid-Autumn Festival Platter (HK$688/ 4 pax; HK$1,288/ 8 pax), which carefully curated selection features eight traditional dishes designed to be shared among friends and family, showcasing a range of Sichuan-inspired delicacies. Highlights include the numbing Mouth Watering Hokkaido Scallops, the fiery shredded Dengying Beef, the aromatic Mala Smoked Fish, chilli-infused Traditional Cold Meat Medley, and Crispy Fried Lotus Root with Minced Pork — each crafted to evoke the warmth of shared celebrations.

For those preferring a vegetarian option, the Vegetarian Mid-Autumn Festival Platter (HK$488/ 4 pax; HK$888/ 8 pax) offers an equally enticing selection. This platter includes crispy Spicy Fried Mock Chicken, refreshing Spicy Cucumber with Glass Noodle, savoury Stir-Fried Vegetarian Duck, addictive Crispy Fried Yam, and sweet Glutinous Rice Cake with Brown Sugar. These plant-based dishes are crafted to provide a rich, flavourful alternative while celebrating the season’s culinary traditions.

Chilli Fagara also offers takeaway versions of the non-vegetarian and vegetarian platters, for those who prefer to bring the Mid-Autumn festivities home. Each platter is thoughtfully curated with six delectable appetisers, perfect for sharing with family and friends. Priced at HK$488 for 4 people or HK$888 for 8 people, the non-vegetarian platter features dishes such as the Stir Fried Shrimps, Jellyfish with Green Onion Oil, and the Mala Duck Tongue. Vegetarians are equally catered for, with a dedicated platter featuring six appetising selections, including the Fried Eggplant with Garlic, Cherry Tomato with Preserved Plum, and Mouth Watering Mock Chicken, available at HK$388 for groups of 4 or HK$688 for groups of 8.

La Terrace by Louise, the latest affiliate concept to JIA Group and Chef Julien Royer’s renowned one MICHELIN-starred Louise, announces a special event collaboration with Trattoria Felino on 11th September (Wednesday) for one night only. This unique dining experience blends rustic Neapolitan flavors with French flair, offering guests the best of both worlds. Adding to the evening’s charm, drinks will be masterfully curated by cocktail maestro Simone Rossi of Ratafia Rossi to complement the French x Italian menu, while guests will be serenaded by soulful live acoustic music.

Trattoria Felino, a culinary tribute to co-founder and Chef Marcello Scognamiglio’s diverse global experiences, offers a cozy setting celebrating Neapolitan and Mediterranean flavors. Inspired by Naples, the trattoria presents an innovative menu highlighting the richness of southern Italian ingredients, featuring contemporary interpretations of classics like ‘focaccina nel ruotino’, classic pasta dishes such as “tubetti with cuttlefish and squid ragu” and meatballs inspired by Chef Marcello’s grandmother’s recipe. With shared plates spanning from seafood to the chef’s signature yellow chicken, the trattoria also boasts a curated selection of cocktails and wines, favoring southern Italian varietals.

MAN HO CHINESE RESTAURANT

The highly coveted Yunnan wild mushroom feast returns to the Michelin-starred Man Ho Chinese Restaurant at JW Marriott Hotel Hong Kong again, inviting discerning diners to dive into the exquisite tastes of this seasonal ingredient. Executive Chinese Chef Jayson Tang newly curates a selection of refined dishes with his culinary expertise and innovative approaches, featuring over 10 varieties of fresh and dried mushrooms.

As summer arrives, the harvesting season of wild mushrooms also begins in Yunnan province, a mountainous region providing rich ground for diversified species of wild mushrooms. The popular speciality is renowned for its umami taste, high nutritional value and versatility. Unveil delectable creations such as “Braised Catfish Maw with Morel Mushrooms and Duck” (HK$388 per guest). The tender catfish maw is stuffed with sautéed morel mushrooms, foie gras, duck meat and dried tangerine peel, and then braised in a luscious morel mushroom sauce to elevate the aroma. The unique flavour and meaty texture of mushrooms star in “Braised Pork Knuckle with Sarcodon Aspratus Mushrooms and Black Garlic” (HK$288 per portion). Also known as the black tiger palm mushroom, the prestigious Sarcodon Aspratus mushroom is used in braising the pork knuckle and stir-frying the glutinous rice, resulting in a harmony of bold flavours. The incredibly crispy “Deep-Fried Dough Stick with Porcini Mushrooms” (HK$88 per guest) and “Deep-Fried Wagyu Beef Roll with Marinated Porcini Mushrooms” (HK$168 per guest) both spotlight the nutty and earthy notes of porcini mushrooms as well as the craftsmanship of our skilled chefs.
