Marco Polo Hotels – Hong Kong presents traditional pudding offerings to usher in the Year of the Rabbit. Guests can enjoy three classic flavours, including Chinese Turnip Cake with Conpoy, Coconut Pudding with Gold Leaf and Water Chestnut Cake, as well as the hotel’s homemade XO Chilli Sauce. These festive puddings are available for redemption from 1 to 21 January 2023. Guests who purchase on or before 8 January 2023 can enjoy an early-bird special offer of HK$188 per box.
A delicious and auspicious way to welcome Chinese New Year, the traditional puddings are handcrafted by Marco Polo Hotels – Hong Kong’s chefs using only the finest ingredients. Guests can savour an authentic taste of the New Year with the Chinese Turnip Cake with Conpoy made with Chinese sausage, Jinhua ham, dried shrimp and conpoy. Meanwhile those with a sweet tooth should try the traditional Coconut Pudding with Gold Leaf. This sweet and sticky pudding is made with glutinous rice, coconut milk and brown sugar and is decorated festively with edible gold foil for added extravagance. Also not to be missed is the Water Chestnut Cake, which boasts a fresh and light sweetness complemented by crunchy pieces of water chestnuts.
All puddings are packed in elegant boxes adorned with an iridescent rabbit design, which carries the auspicious meaning of “taking a leap forward” into the New Year. The festive puddings are both ideal to enjoy at home or to share as gifts with family, friends and colleagues. At Duddell’s to celebrate the Chinese New Year of the Rabbit, Executive Chef Yip Kar On introduces a series of new limited-time menus available between 11th January – 5th February 2023.
The new Chinese New Year Dim Sum lunch selection consists of delicately crafted bites such as goldfish-shaped Shrimp Dumpling with Mullet Roe (HK$108), Truffle Bamboo Pith Dumplings (HK$78) and Pork and Shrimp Dumpling (HK$108) with semi-dried oyster and beef tongue. Available for both lunch and dinner are Crispy Lava Sesame Ball (HK$78) and Pan-fried New Year Cake (HK$68).
