Nord Anglia International School Hong Kong offers quality English education with global collaboration opportunities

by Ella

Founded in 2014, Nord Anglia International School Hong Kong (NAIS) is an all-through international school providing quality education for three to 18-year-old students. Offering the English National Curriculum, IGCSE and IBDP curricula, the school is known for its English teaching combined with Juilliard and MIT collaborations, promoting a truly global outlook.

As part of Nord Anglia Education (NAE), a family of 82 premium international schools in 32 countries, NAIS encourages its students to “Be Ambitious” and to achieve their potential. Pupils have access to an exciting Global Campus network as part of NAE, which gives them collaborative learning experiences and global challenges with peers from around the world.Headed by Principal Kenny Duncan, who has been with NAIS since 2020, the school currently has a total of three campuses in Hong Kong — Lam Tin, Sai Kung and Kwun Tong, with the latter being the newest.

The Sai Kung Pre-School Campus offers a purpose-built learning space and a safe, caring and happy atmosphere for little ones to get their start in learning, with small class sizes so each student has adequate facetime with their teachers. The Lam Tin Primary Campus, just a 10-minute walk from MTR Lam Tin Station, offers an engaging art programme, an energetic PE team, a hands-on music curriculum and a drama programme that helps build confidence from a young age and a STEAM programme. Lastly, the Kwun Tong Secondary Campus, newly opened in August 2021, features specialist subject classrooms filled with natural light; science laboratories; dance, drama, music, art and visual media rooms; a learning centre; a sports hall; an indoor swimming pool and a performance auditorium.

Across the three campuses, collaboration opportunities with MIT to work on innovative challenges, with UNICEF to work on creative solutions to the Global Goals for Sustainable Development and with Julliard for a thorough music learning experience are available for students.

Equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, the school has created an environment where students enjoy learning, feel safe and confident to participate and have fun. Aside from simply supporting pupils to excel in the classroom, NAIS also has a diverse range of after-school activities and clubs so they can flourish in creative and innovative ways.

Ritzy Hong Kong recognises NAIS, its achievements and all it has to offer, which is why the school has been awarded “Secondary School of the Year – Nord Anglia International School Hong Kong” in the first-ever Ritzy Education Awards.
