22 Ships to Host a Special 6-hands Charity Lunch on 28th November

by Ella

JIA Group’s neighbourhood tapas bar 22 Ships honours the city’s constant hunt for authentic and honest Spanish flavours. Helmed by Chef Antonio Oviedo, 22 Ships offers delectable tapas that stays true to timeless tradition, all served in a convivial yet relaxed setting.

On Sunday 28th November, 22 Ships will host a special charity lunch together with two other award- winning outlets by JIA Group, Andō and MONO. The lunch aims to raise funds to aid those affected by the Cumbre Vieja volcanic eruption on the Spanish island of La Palma. Seven weeks on, there is still no scientific evidence to suggest that the eruption will end anytime soon, and rescue efforts are currently ongoing. The eruption has now destroyed over 200 homes, forced over 6,000 people to evacuate, and lava continues to flow, covering over 380 acres of land.

22 Ships will donate all proceeds from the 22 Ships x La Palma lunch to World Central Kitchen (WCK), a non-profit governmental organization devoted to providing meals to those affected in the wake of natural disasters. Founded in 2010 by celebrity chef Jose Andres, WCK acts as first- responders, working with local chefs to provide immediate solutions to disasters around the world.
