Led by French sommelier Romain Loriot, ThinkWine introduces a brand-new experience of wine and food pairings to the heart of SoHo in Hong Kong.

RESTAURANT TAKEOVERS CONTINUE AT THINKWINE

Last year, ThinkWine launched a successful series of pop-ups by Hong Kong’s most acclaimed restaurants such as Frantzen’s Kitchen and HAKU, where chefs showcased takeover-exclusive snacks to pair with ThinkWine’s exceptional selection of wines for one night at a time. While the series was temporarily halted due to COVID, ThinkWine is pleased to announce the return of restaurant takeovers from November till end of year, with more to come in 2022.

Each restaurant will pop up at ThinkWine from 6pm till late, serving 4-6 special snacks (ranging from HK$60 – HK$150 per snack) to pair with ThinkWine’s specially curated selection of wines.  The takeover schedule is as below:

·       11th November (Thurs) – Frantzen’s Kitchen by Chef Jim Lofdahl

·       18th November (Thurs) – Chachawan by Chef Narisara Somboon

·       2nd December (Thurs)  –  Musubi Hiro by Chef Chetan Kohli

·       15th December (Weds) – 22 Ships by Chef Antonio Oviedo

The restaurant takeover series offer guests a fun new way to kick back and relax in a lively ambience, with the chance to socialise with fellow food and wine lovers.

NEW AND EXPANDED SEASONAL FOOD MENU AT THINKWINE

ThinkWine offers a hearty selection of snacks and dishes that pair perfectly with a glass of wine. The new expanded menu comprises of delectable dishes from land, farm, and sea, as well as categories for hot food, sharing-style platters, and dessert.

From LAND, enjoy meat selections such as French Saucisson (HK$60), Truffle Ham (HK$80), Beef Tartare (HK$100), French Terrine (HK$90), and Iberico Ham (32 mth HK$138 | 48 mth HK$188 | 60 mth HK$208).

From the SEA, ThinkWine offers up a fine range of aperitivo-style bites such as Anchovies (HK$80) marinated in olive oil, ceviche-style Octopus (HK$120), Oysters (HK$200) by the half-dozen, and premiere Caviar (HK$500) from Royal Caviar Club.

From the FARM, indulge in a variety of artisan French cheeses such as Tomme de Savoie (HK$70) hard sheep cheese, Saint-Nectaire (HK$70) soft cow cheese, and Aged Comte (HK$70).

ThinkWine’s range of HOT FOOD includes French Escargots Ferniers (HK$100) served in a traditional snail pan, Pizza Brioche (HK$100) with chorizo, Galette (HK$100) crepe with truffle ham, cheese, and egg, and the crowd-favourite melting Mont D’Or (HK$250).

For SHARING amongst a group, consider family-style platters such as the Cheese Platter (HK$190) with 3 selections from “farm”, Family Platter (HK$280) with 3 selections each from “farm” and “land”, or Iberico Trilogie (HK$498) with selections of 32-, 48-, and 60-month Iberico ham. SWEET TOOTH guests will love the decadent and piping-hot dessert option of Fondant Chocolate(HK$80).

THINKWINE’S UPDATED AND EXPANDED WINE COLLECTION

Stocking close to 600 different wines, the extensive “Chateau to Table” wine menu at ThinkWine showcases a rare diversity of wine terroir, appellations and vintages rarely found in Hong Kong. ThinkWine takes great pride in its collection from the Burgundy, Rhone Valley and Loire Valley regions of France. ThinkWine invites guests to taste and experience wines from countries such as Australia, Italy, Spain and Germany; as well as from less-represented countries such as Lebanon, Morocco, South Africa, China, and more.

Since its opening, ThinkWine has continued to uphold its commitment to stocking a diverse array of wines from all around the world. The number of wines labels from outside France has grown from 15% to 30%, to welcome renowned and intriguing winegrowers outside of France.

To develop its latest wine list, ThinkWine is currently working with acclaimed wine personalities such as Dominique Laporte, crowned Best French Sommelier of 2004 and a Master of Portand Bertrand Bourdil, owner of Château Chérubin in Saint-emilion and Master of Bordeaux wines. ThinkWine continues to be the only venue beyond French borders to offer Château de Chambord made by legendary winemaker Henri Marionnet, a wine served only in the castle for the French heritage.  ThinkWine also managed to get one of the rarest allocation with Emmanuel Reynaud.

WEEKLY THEMED NIGHTS AT THINKWINE

To showcase the exceptional diversity of the wine list, ThinkWine has launched weekly themed nights on Mondays till Saturdays from 6pm-close. On Monday evenings, enjoy RED WINE night with 10% off the red wine of the day, and 20% off on all cheeses and cold cut platters. On Tuesday evenings, enjoy a fun and interactive FLASH WINE PAIRING led by ThinkWine’s knowledgeable sommeliers, priced at HK$288 for 3 wine glass pairings and 3 matching bites.

Wednesdays are for WHITE WINE, where guests will receive an exclusive 10% off the white wine of the day, as well as 20% off jet-fresh oysters to pair with. On Thursday nights, enjoy an irresistible 20% off the oysters of the day. On Saturday nights, ThinkWine shines a light on female winemakers by offering a special list of wines made by women.
