On the lookout for some family fun this summer? Here comes your chance. The Mills, one of Hong Kong’s most popular cultural landmarks, will be launching a “Kids Festival” for both parents and kids to enjoy a playful, fun-filled summer. The all-inclusive festival comprises a Family Interactive Music Experience, a Kids Market, and a “Travel Around The Mills with ISATISSE” stamp-hunt. Local illustrator Isabel Tong has once again been invited by The Mills to feature her illustrated character, Isatisse, as the face of The Mills Kids Festival 2022. Tag along Isatisse for an exciting, imaginative, and spirited summer with The Mills!

Enjoy a family trip around the world NOW! The “Around- The-World Music Fantasy” is an interactive music experience for the whole family—imagine travelling through a world of music and singing along to best-loved songs from different cultures, such as Japan, Thailand, Brazil, and Africa. Step through an “Anywhere Door”, immerse in cultures of the world, and experience the uniqueness of the different customs, traditions, and music styles.

Back in April this year, The Mills worked hand in hand with local illustrator, Isabel Tong, on the “Travel Around The Mills with ISATISSE” programme. The illustrated character, Isatisse, accompanied visitors on a trip around iconic spots of the Mills as they explored the stories behind each spot. This August, visitors can take a deep dive and explore the roles played by the various iconic and highly- instagrammable elements, such as the sand buckets, The Park, the original staircase, NF5 Gate, CHAT (Centre for Heritage Arts and Textile), Golden Cup Metal Gate, Pak Tin Par Lane, and the glass bridge. Visitors can collect stamps for their maps at each spot as mementos of their journey through local textile history.
