YMCA Christian Academy
Starting from the 2024-25 academic year, YMCA Christian Academy will be offering a new Year 7 programme for children aged 11-12. This programme offers specialised preparations for Middle School skill sets and mindsets and is suitable for students who prefer a small school, close-knit community environment, small class size and individualised learning. It will benefit students who require an additional year in a smaller school before moving on to a secondary school and students who are transitioning from local school to international school. For students who require additional support, they will receive coaching focused on transdisciplinary skills, including self-directed learning skills, executive functioning skills, load management and learning barrier management. While these are an extraordinary set of results, today we’re celebrating those eight students who achieved the near impossible, and got that perfect score of 45. But you know, in every single one of our schools and every single one of our classrooms, what we have seen as students achieving amazing things.
Our results are just remarkable, not just here in Hong Kong, but they’re really of global significance. Because the average score that we’ve got across ESF is way above the global average. And honestly, today is a day to just be incredibly proud of these young men and women and the results that they’ve achieved.

Victoria Shanghai Academy
At the Class of 2023, 10 students at Victoria Shanghai Academy scored an impressive 43+ points and the cohort achieved a 100% pass rate and an average mean score of 37.4 at IB Diploma. The group of students has already received over 400 offers from universities around the world. From Stanford University, Pomona College, UCLA, and USC in the USA, to University of Oxford, Durham University, Imperial College, and UCL in the UK, and UBC and the University of Toronto in Canada, as well as both medical schools in Hong Kong. Yew Chung International School of Hong Kong
Congratulations to members of the Yew Chung English Debate Team for achieving highly successful results at the World Scholar’s Cup. 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐫’𝐬 𝐂𝐮𝐩 is a middle to high school level inter-school academic competition involving four main academic activities: 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐃𝐞𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬, 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐖𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐫’𝐬 𝐁𝐨𝐰𝐥, and 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐫’𝐬 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞. The English Debate team sent three teams of three, totally 9 students to compete in the 4 different categories. All 3 teams from Yew Chung International School of Hong Kong qualified for the global round and are planning to enter the Xiamen Global Round in August.
Woodland Pre-Schools
Woodland pre-schools had a joyous end-of-the-year celebration with their young learners at Woodland Sai Kung! They acknowledged the hard work and achievements of the little ones with a special ceremony, and the atmosphere was full of excitement and pride from the parents and teachers. The celebration also included small bites and drinks, and parents brought a variety of delicious potluck dishes to share, making it a truly special occasion. They are grateful for all the dedication and efforts put in by the young learners. Let’s continue to encourage and support them in their learning journey!
