This summer, Lobster Bar goes back to its roots and stages 13 new cocktails that connects the tales of adventure with the unique essence of Shangri-La.

Guests can choose an indulgence from the illustrated cocktail magazine depicting three realms of imagination – Expeditions, Tales of Wonder, and Treasure. From voyages out at sea to excursions atop world’s most spectacular peaks, one’s imagination and taste buds are bound for a wild discovery of their meticulously crafted concoctions.

Inspired by the iconic interiors of Lobster Bar and Shangri-La’s unique heritage, ‘Expeditions’ takes guests on a journey of fantastical adventures through six lip-smacking libations that creatively blend Shangri-La’s signature teas with invigorating Asian botanical ingredients. An exemplary drink would be Midas Touch, a golden elixir made with Shangri-La’s Lapsang Souchong Tea, Highland Park 18 Years, a tint of banana and more.

A clever reinvention of modern-classic cocktails from the worlds of old and new, the six concoctions under ‘Tales of Wonder’ are alike a sensational mystery with a cast of eccentric characters but with an unexpected plot twist. To name a few, Green Pixie is a creative spin on the iconic Fairy Cream from the old world – a dash of absinthe and cacao, yet with an unusual combination of celery and double cream; Señora Ruby is a playful cousin of the new world classic El Presidente, alternatively infused with ruby port, cherry liquor and black walnut bitters for a wine-like aftertaste.

Look no further for a wonderful rare ‘Treasure’, their hero cocktail Chocolate Cosmos uses high- quality ingredients like Macallan 18 Years, Club de Remy Martin Cognac and 80% cacao dark chocolate to reinvent the classic Brandy Alexander, unveiling amplified layers of aromas and flavours that shall most certainly fulfil your tastebuds’ highest desires.

Also on the menu is the Lobster Bar Signature Martini with Shangri-La Signature Heritage Gin, an exclusively crafted dry gin for Island Shangri-La by Hong Kong’s renowned distillery N.I.P Gin. Paying homage to the roots of Shangri-La Group, a cane-based spirit is used as its foundation and combined with their signature tea blend and twelve Southeast Asian botanicals – an unmistakable flavour that brings forth the unique essence of Shangri-La’s transcending history upon every sip.

Other classic cocktails, selection of spirits, aperitifs, wines, champagnes and craft beers are also available, perfect for celebratory gatherings, after work wind-down or just an intimate rendezvous.
