2) What inspired you to start working as a content creator?
Foodeatsmary is simply a combination of three things I love: eating, drawing, and creating. Nothing too fancy or dramatic—just my way of expressing my love for food. Food has always played a huge role in my life. I think about it 90% of the time, even before I sleep—I’m already planning what to eat the next day!
I strongly believe that food and emotions go hand in hand, and you’ll see a lot of that reflected in my content. Over time, this space has become a place not just for me, but also for my loved ones and others who find comfort and relatability in it.
One of my favorite things to do is to pass my doodles to shop owners and chefs after a truly satisfying meal. At first, I didn’t think much of it, but I was amazed by how their faces lit up when they received my drawings. It was a small gesture to me, but to them, it meant something special.
I owe a huge thank you to every one of them. Before this, I was actually on the verge of giving up on art. But seeing their reactions made me realize my purpose—it was incredibly encouraging and kept me going. I’m not great at expressing emotions, but this is my way of showing my joy and appreciation for the food I enjoy.
There are so many spaces like this on the internet, and it’s encouraging to see how we all learn, grow, and inspire one another.

3) Are there any goals you are planning to reach in 2025?
To eat more Samyang! I used to have a Samyang phase, and I miss it. I want to bring it back because I’ve been craving it for the longest time—so that’s my 2025 goal!
4) Can you recommend one must-try dish in Singapore?
Besides the big names like chicken rice, chilli crab, laksa, and Beach Road scissors cut curry rice (which are absolutely amazing and totally worth checking out), I think one underrated dish that deserves more attention is Popiah.
It’s like an Asian burrito, filled with a variety of vegetables and meat. It’s not too big, making it perfect as an appetizer or a light, satisfying meal. The fillings—cooked turnips and carrots—are refreshing, fragrant, and slightly sweet.
The highlight for me is definitely the sauces! Hoisin sauce, sweet bean sauce, and—if you can handle spice—always say YES to the chilli sauce. It adds an extra dimension to the flavors. Sometimes, they use sambal chili, and you know that slaps even harder.
I also love the tradition of having a popiah station at home, where family members gather to make their own rolls—so fun and wholesome!
As for where to get popiah, you can find it in most kopitiams and food courts. I personally love Qi Ji’s popiah because they offer a variety and make a solid version. Another popular place is Ann Chin Popiah.

5) How do you make yourself happy and Ritzy in life?
I’m still figuring this out, so I may not be the best person to give advice—but really, just be yourself and be kind.
You are in control of your own happiness. ❤️
