Building sand castles, paddling on giant SUPs through the waves, soaking up the sun – Grade 3-5 students had a blast at Deep Water Bay Beach, South Bay Beach, and St. Stephen’s Beach! Not only did they have fun, but they also learned the importance of teamwork through exciting games and activities. It was amazing to see the students having a great time while learning!

What an exciting day at #KellettKLBPrep as we welcomed the HK China Rugby 7s team @hkrugby for a special campus visit! They presented a jersey in honour of our talented #OldKelletonian, Liam Doherty (OK 2013-18), who is proudly representing the team. #KellettY5 and #KellettY6 students engaged in a Q&A session, asking questions about their favourite matches and how they got started in their rugby journey, followed by an impressive training session on the Sky Pitch. This week, the Year 5 students were introduced to the concept of leadership during the Year 5 Primary Leadership Training Day. As they approach the end of the year, these students are invited to apply for Year 6 leadership positions. To prepare for this, students and teachers explored what it means to be a leader, what a Year 6 leadership role entails, and how students can utilise their personal strengths in such positions. In another excellent example of peer Learning, Prep 3 spent time reading aloud with Prep 1 pupils, sharing imaginative stories about using a growth mindset to overcome challenges and helping them to write about personal skills they’d like to improve. Teaching reinforces the older pupils’ knowledge while the younger pupils feel inspired by their peers…boosting engagement and motivation for all!
