One Michelin-starred CHAAT at Rosewood Hong Kong, the city’s pioneering modern Indian restaurant, hosts its first culinary crossover with Forum Restaurant, the legendary three Michelin-star Hong Kong dining destination. Together, CHAAT Executive Chef de Cuisine Manav Tuli and Forum Executive Chef Adam Wong serve exclusive, co-created lunch and dinner menus for one day only, offering guests a rare chance to experience the convergence of some of the city’s finest Chinese and Indian flavours.
The idea for the Forum and CHAAT culinary collaboration was born out of a deep mutual respect. When the Forum culinary team first visited CHAAT, they were impressed by Chef Manav’s expert use of spices to create aromatic and flavourful Indian dishes. On a following visit to Forum, Chef Manav savoured some of the city’s finest dim sum and Cantonese offerings. With a shared love for innovation, Chefs Manav and Adam were in perfect agreement that something truly revolutionary could be created from the synergy between the DNAs of their individual cuisines. The collaboration is the beginning of an atypical friendship between two restaurants, both pioneering in their respective culinary traditions that historically have rarely crossed paths.
On 11 August, CHAAT x Forum will be serving a wine-paired six-course lunch and a wine-paired eight-course dinner, with prices to be announced at a later stage. Highlights of the collaboration menus include innovative Chinese meets Indian dishes that has been thoroughly researched and tested such as Roasted Chicken Wing stuffed with Lamb Kebab, Double-Boiled Coconut Seafood Soup, Pan-Fried Chinese Grouper with Indian Curry Sauce, Forum x CHAAT Ah Yat signature Fried Basmati Rice, Chinese Almond Soup Kulfi and more.
