Could you tell us a little about yourself?
As a Marketing and Business Consultant with a history of promoting animal care, I lead the animal field’s marketing, communication and business development effort. I’m passionate about bringing a level of awareness to the animal welfare industry, so that young adults and teenagers make the decision to pursue animal welfare as a profession rather than falling into it by chance. Some of the recent projects I initiated managed to increase the interest of college students in the animal welfare sector, educating individuals and the public about responsible pet ownership, decreasing the overpopulation of domestics animals through spay-neuter programs, placing adoptable animals in good homes, working with the community to break down barriers, develop relationships and increase involvement in the community focused animal welfare. I also direct media relations, branding, advertising and social media, as well as manage sponsorships, events, charitable contributions and more.

As a Marketing and Business Project Coordinator and Consultant, what is your current project?
I am working on a new project called WOOF MAGIC, a new place that will be opened in July on Sai Kung WM Hotel’s lower ground floor. It will be a unique store that focuses on animal wellness items with consultancy services, exceptional grooming services, with a small dogs/puppies adoption area. Wellness and stability are essential to our pets and we have to practise prevention before sickness hits. My store will have a consultancy service to support the pet owner in choosing the right products. The adoption area is for young children and volunteers to learn more about animal welfare and prepare them before having a pet.

What are your goals for 2022?
I started to introduce pet friendly in 2018 by mixing a salon, nail services and pet grooming concept in a shop in Causeway Bay. At that time, Hong Kong’s pet-friendly idea and vision were still minimal. I always believed that if we treat our pets as family, then why weren’t they allowed to go everywhere with us? Why did we need to limit and label them? So I decided I had to do something, and then I came up with the concept. This year I came up with another concept for pets; stay tuned!
How do you make yourself happy and ritzy in life?
Very simple – I am happy when I see my family is happy and when rescued animals find a forever home. Hopefully, there will be no more abandoned animals!
