Sip into Autumn with a host of inventive NEW cocktails

by Ella

Aqua Restaurant Group welcomes the new season with refreshed cocktails to transition into the Autumn season ahead. As a last hurrah before the temperatures drop, aqua spirit is presenting two imaginative new menus – an Icepop Cocktail series to see guests through the last of the soaring temperatures and a ‘Travel-Tails’ menu featuring ten cocktails and six non-alcoholic drinks. The Travel-Tails cocktail menu explores the intrinsic tastes and ingredients hailing from regions of Japan and Italy – home of the cuisines that inspired the identity of aqua restaurant.

Five New Icepop Cocktails

While we may be officially in Autumn, the weather still commands summer vibes. Cool down from the heat of the season with five boozy icicles, each featuring a three layer medley of frozen summer fruits infused in alcohol. Each icepop is paired with a glass of Saint Louis Crémant sparkling wine to further enhance the flavours of the tropics and for a little extra kick. First up is a real crowd pleaser using ingredients like cantaloupe, mixed berries and mango infused with sake, each individual layer of this drink complements the other harmoniously, with a balance of sweetness, tartness and acidity. Taste the tropics with a fruity concoction of passionfruit, coconut and pineapple infused with Plantation 3 Stars rum. The delicious fruit purée and juice balances the flavours of the rum for a well- rounded icepop delight. Prices for each Icepop Cocktail range from HK$128 to HK$148.

Exclusively for Friday Summer Light Brunch and Weekend Summer Brunch, guests can supplement two Icepop Cocktails of their choice for HK$118. These frosted delights will also be available at aqua spirit on Monday to Thursday from 4pm, and Friday to Sunday from 3pm.

Travel-Tails

Desperate for a taste of travel? Satisfy that wanderlust while savouring the tastes of far flung destinations with a new drinks menu inspired by oversea adventures. Nodding to aqua’s Italian and Japanese influence, the menu takes guests on a journey through the two countries with ten cocktails and six non-alcoholic drinks. The menu is separated into the two respective locations, and each recipe uses ingredients from specific regions which exude a sense of that particular destination. Travel to the mountaintops of Japan with Fuji Fizz (HK$168), a tall glass of refreshing flavours featuring Kikusakari sake, smoked hōjicha, clarified and carbonated Fuji apple and Sakura bitters. Over to Italy, cruise along the romantic Venetian canals with Spritz Veneziano (HK$158), a well-balanced drink of Tanqueray London Dry Gin, Aperol, sparkling wine, orange, lemon and clarified milk. For a zero-proof option, the Grape Effect (HK$128) is reminiscent of the vineyards in the Tuscan, taking Italian red grapes, orange and sage infused elderflower, lemon and Bergamotto soda for a delightful stroll in the countryside.

Plan your next vacation to aqua via the Travel-Tails menu which is available on Monday to Thursday from 4pm and Friday to Sunday from 3pm.

Prison Break at Old Police Headquarters

On the other side of the harbour? Sip on happy hour drinks from The Dispensary’s Prison Break menu in Tai Kwun, available daily from 4pm to 7pm. Aqua Hours are the Happiest Hours
