Can you tell us about yourself and your background?

I am Alexandra Leung, founder of Monogic, a specialized all-in-one F&B marketing and PR agency. As an experienced F&B industry professional, I have a wonderful background working directly within the food and beverage sector in my vibrant hometown of Hong Kong.

At Monogic, our team members are a group of passionate former in-house F&B marketing specialists across Hong Kong, Singapore, and the UK. We focus on who we serve, providing full, end-to-end marketing solutions for restaurants and F&B businesses.

In 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, my husband Kieran and I co-founded Monogic. Recognizing the urgent need for restaurants to digitize, we were inspired to leverage our expertise and provide comprehensive, tailored digital marketing and PR support to this dynamic industry that I am deeply passionate about.

What inspired you to start Monogic and how’s your expansion to Singapore going?

During the difficult pandemic period, we saw the opportunity to help businesses in this sector digitize their operations and marketing. With great passion, Kieran and I launched Monogic in 2020, eager to offer all-in-one digital marketing and communication services tailored specifically for restaurants and bars. Seeking to expand our impact, we chose to bring Monogic to the Singapore market in 2022, as it is another major hub for the thriving F&B industry in Asia, sharing many similarities with the beloved city of Hong Kong that I know so well.

Could you tell us more about Monogic and how your expansion to Singapore is going?

Since 2020, I am proud that Monogic has had the privilege of serving over 120 beloved F&B brands across Hong Kong and Asia. This is a testament to the dedication and expertise of our team, and we feel truly grateful for the overwhelming support from the dynamic food and beverage community we are so passionate about.

The welcoming Singapore market has been a wonderful addition, and we have been honored to work with impressive clients like M Hotel and Peyala Cafe. Our talented Singapore team has been performing excellently, and I greatly enjoy spending time with the entire Monogic family across Hong Kong, Singapore, and Manila, including hosting a delightful Christmas gathering last year.

Are there any goals you are planning to reach in 2024?

My goals for 2024 are centered around continuing to grow Monogic’s presence and impact as a leading F&B marketing specialist, particularly in Hong Kong and Singapore. As someone who is deeply passionate about the food and beverage industry in the city I was raised in, Hong Kong, I am dedicated to sharing this enthusiasm with the world and nurturing a strong, friendly F&B community around Monogic’s comprehensive, tailored marketing solutions.

How do you make yourself happy and ritzy in life?

In my personal life, I absolutely love the relaxing and joyful hobbies of knitting and crocheting. I love putting my creativity to use, making stylish clothes, charming homeware, and heartfelt gifts for my family and loved ones. Maintaining a healthy balance between my demanding career and fulfilling personal life is incredibly important to me.

In fact, I’m thrilled to be celebrating a special milestone this month – my official wedding ceremony with my life partner and Monogic co-founder, Kieran.

I’m also excited to explore more amazing restaurants in Hong Kong, Singapore, and the UK this year, further indulging my deep passion for the vibrant food and beverage industry. I feel truly grateful to be able to work on things I’m so passionate about every day with Kieran.
